-
Leave your ego out the door. There is no one more important, or less important, than you, or the Art you are creating.
-
Respect the Director; The Director's vision of the production, and his methods of Creativity.
-
Be on time for rehearsals, and ready to work.
-
Communication is Key.
-
Do not come up with last minute rehearsal conflicts. INTREPIDUS THEATRE LAB must be a priority.
-
The rehearsal and performance space is a safe place for the actors/actresses to explore and build their characters and scenes. Do not disrupt their process by being crude, or disrespectful to their creative process and the production itself
-
Accidents do happen. When working in a physical theatre, accidents and injuries can occur. Do not think that another person has done so on purpose. If you are injured, settle the matter with the Director and the other actor or actress immediately and move on.
-
Respect a persons 'personal space'.
-
Respect proper Cell Phone etiquette.
-
You must remain focused at all times within the rehearsal/performance space. Be present.
-
While Rehearsals will be going on, there will be times when you will not be needed, or have 'down time'. Use this time to work on character, script. This is not a Time for loud conversations, and such. Respect those working in the moment. If you must speak, do so with a whisper.
-
Eat either before, or after a Rehearsal. Do not show up at a rehearsal with food in hand, and expect us to wait for you to eat before we begin working. Unless you have a medical situation, you will not starve. You can wait until a break or after Rehearsal Itself.
-
NOTES. Getting them: Always be gracious, even if you disagree. If you disagree, find time to speak with the Director about the notes. Remember, the Director is looking over and out for the entire production, not just only you. Also, never give any other Actor or Actress Notes. (See #2). Respect both your position and the the Director's in the production. If the Director gives you a note, take it graciously and incorporate it into your performance. Do not allow your ego to get in the way. No one is above receiving proper criticism.
-
No Gossip. You know what this is. You know this is wrong. Don't do it.
-
Get along professionally. You do not need to best friends, but you must have a professional attitude at all times in the rehearsal space in order to work together. If you have a disagreement with someone, leave it out of the rehearsal/performance space. You are all adults. The Director is not here to be your babysitter. We all have worked with people we may not get along with. That is common in the theatrical world. We just have to deal with it professionally,
-
Rehearsals for INTREPIDUS THEATRE LAB are private. Do not talk about specifics with a production to anyone outside of the Lab, without permission from The Director. Why pay money to see a show if everyone will know what happens during it beforehand.
-
Do not be Lazy. No excuses.
-
Tech Rehearsals. Tech Rehearsals and Tech Week are not times for the Actors and Actresses to sit back and Relax. During tech, Each and Every member of the LAB will be required to work together. No ifs, ands, or buts.
-
Do Not Mark a performance, no matter how large, or how small, the audience is. Give each performance your everything!
-
MOST IMPORANTLY, have FUN! Have fun exploring, growing, creating and sharing your Art with each other, and the audience.
